LSI is a selected provider for family, safety, risk and permanency services (FSRP) in the Northern Service Area through Iowa’s Department of Human Services (DHS). This area includes 27 counties in north central and northeast Iowa. These services help families in crisis who are at risk of abuse or neglect.
To receive services, a family must be referred to LSI by DHS.
Permanency services are ongoing services to help keep the family together. Safety services involve a daily visit from LSI to the family every day for 15 days.
Because this service is provided only when DHS refers a family to LSI, we’re not able to offer this particular program to families on an individual basis.
However, if you are looking for family crisis support, we encourage you to learn more about the other LSI crisis, community and therapy programs listed on our website. You can also call your local LSI office to see what’s available in your area.
