What we offer

LSI offers nursing care, bathing and personal care, light homemaking services, medical social workers, respite care and physical, occupational and speech therapy services.

We also offer home care services for residents of the Rose of Ames, Des Moines and Waterloo. These are independent assisting living facilities for seniors with low to moderate incomes.

Our home health care services are located in the Ames, Des Moines and Waterloo areas. Our Ames services also offer a pediatric focus for children who need special medical care.

LSI also has service coordinators at Elsie Mason Manor and Ligutti Tower, high-rise apartment buildings in Des Moines that offer affordable independent living to elderly or disabled individuals with low income. LSI can assist with a variety of needs, from connecting residents to community resources, sorting through a lease issue or even pairing them with a bill payer.

If you would like to stay in your home, our goal is to keep you there as long as we can. Research shows the home environment is important and can even help patients get better faster because they feel safer and more comfortable at home.

Our professional care also helps families stay together. We can lighten the load for family caregivers while making it possible for a loved one to stay at home.

Putting you first

LSI’s services are client-driven and family-focused. You and your loved ones will be involved in care planning from day one.

We are also a guest in your home. You may have a special way of cleaning the kitchen sink or a preference on how a bath is given. As long as it’s safe for everyone involved, we’ll get things done the way you want.
