LSI also offers classes for parents in several locations throughout Iowa.
People Place
People Place is an LSI family resource center in Ames offering classes and support. Classes include topics such as positive discipline, listening, childhood literacy, special needs parenting, sibling rivalry and more. Child care is provided.
Making Healthy Choices
LSI offers a pregnancy prevention group and class to help teenagers make healthy choices. These classes discuss character, teen health, sexually transmitted diseases, self-esteem and other issues.
Mobile Parenting
LSI’s Mobile Parenting program meets with parents who are living in homeless shelters or are incarcerated.
The program teaches classes on over 30 topics such as anger management, stress relief, trust building, empathy and positive discipline. See more.
