Emotional manipulation can be so destructive, it’s important to be able to recognize it and understand the reasons behind the “strategy.” Our children, as emotional manipulators, can be very skillful. Fortunately, emotional manipulators are easy enough to spot if you know what to look for. In this course, we will discuss ways of identifying and understanding how our children are navigating us with their manipulation.

Course Objectives:
To give caregivers and social workers

  • an understanding of why children “manipulate”
  • tools to identify, understand, and stop the patterns of manipulation

At this time, we are asking all in-person LSI training attendees to practice social distancing and wear a mask during the session. Prior to the in-person training, please review and sign this COVID-19 safety guidelines acknowledgement form and bring it with you to the training.

This training has been approved for 3 hours of foster parent training credit.

Instructor: Hector Villareal
