Common Sense Parenting (CSP)® Café offers one-hour trainings to parents and caregivers who want to build on their existing skills or learn new ways of dealing with their children’s behaviors. A professional parent trainer presents on the topic.

OVERALL PURPOSE: Raising Happier Kids
You’ll learn valuable skills, including how to:

  • Apply practical parenting skills to manage children’s behaviors
  • Help your child succeed in all environments
  • Teach children social skills to improve daily interactions

TOPIC: Helping Children Stay Calm

Childcare will be provided. Childcare will be supervised by three childcare professionals for ages 6 months to 8 years of age. Older children may also come to the YMCA and use the other facilities for children (a game room and teen media area). A free meal will be served 30 minutes prior to each session! This training has been approved for 1 hour of foster parent training credit.
