To help family members, loved ones, and our community better understand addiction, Jackson Recovery Centers offers a free Family Education Series. We highly recommend that all family members with a loved one involved in Jackson’s services, or any individual interested in learning more about the disease of addiction, attend the series. This four-session series is held the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Session 1: What is Addiction?
– Designations of various addictions
– Similarities of addictions

Session 2: Codependency and Problem Gambling
– What it is and isn’t
– How it affects lives
– Are you codependent?
– Coping with codependency

Session 3: Survival Roles in an Addictive Family
– Effects of addiction on children, spouses, parents, and extended family
– Taking care of yourself

Session 4: Readjusting: Journey to Healthy Living
– How to prevent relapse of addiction
– Available resources and options
– Meetings and support system groups

Instructors: Qualified instructors from Jackson Recovery Centers

Each session has been approved for 2 hours of foster parent training credit.

RSVP/Registration
Please print and fill out this certificate and bring it to the training. Have your caseworker and training facilitator sign the form to ensure you receive the CEUs available. Always notify your caseworker or recruiter of your intention to attend any of the training or support group events on this calendar.
