Laura and her fiancé, Raven, are ready to welcome a Host Homes mentee into their lives. They are passionate about serving as foster parents, and they are busy planning to get married in October!
Laura, 23, and Raven, 21, are ready to open their home to a male or female mentee, and their home can accommodate an individual with an intellectual or physical disability. They would prefer to keep their home non-smoking. Their home is in the country, about 15 miles from the nearest town. It includes four bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen, basement, and attic.
Their typical day includes Raven working as a welder from early in the morning through the afternoon, and Laura would serve full-time as a Host Homes mentor, so she can build the perfect customized schedule to help her mentee thrive and achieve their goals. Laura has served individuals with disabilities since 2015 in many different settings – including past experience as a Host Homes provider – and she has a passion for helping others.
Their family is Christian, and they love spending time gathering together for birthdays and holidays. Laura loves playing with her dogs and spending time with her family. In her free time, she likes shopping, going on hikes or walks, and adventuring to new places. Are you or someone you know interested in being a Host Homes mentee for Laura? Reach out today! A message from Laura to her Host Homes mentee: “Hi! We are an easygoing, fun-loving couple. We like to be active in the community. We are very accepting. We are all for communication! We have dogs, cats, and some fun fish and reptiles!”
