Samantha and her family are ready to welcome a mentee into their Home. With over 7 years of home healthcare experience and over 4 years of group home experience, she has a strong background in supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illness, brain injuries, and dementia. Samantha has also worked as a host home provider for over 4 years.

Located in Des Moines, Samantha shares her home with her son and a roommate. Their home is full on fun and laughter, and they enjoy spending time together. Samantha’s house offers mainly one level living and is situated on a cul-0de-sac. There are lots of amenities close by, including stores, gas stations, an outlet mall, bowling alley, movie theater, and a variety of restaurants.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and listening to music. She also enjoys gardening, painting, pottery, shopping, visiting arcades, bowling, and watching movies—whether at home or in the theater.

Samantha’s typical day starts with everyone waking up and going through their morning routines, which may include coffee, breakfast, or getting dressed for the day. Depending on the schedules, the morning might be relaxing with some TV time or busy with drop-offs for work, daycare, activities, and running errands. Afterward, the day continues at home with chores, working on personal goals, going for a walk, or relaxing while watching Netflix and preparing meals. Evenings are spent doing pick-ups, running any additional errands or grocery shopping, having dinner together, and then following bedtime routines and winding down for the night.
