Services for People with Disabilities

Your journey. Our passion.

Every Iowan should be free to live life with confidence, happiness, and independence. Through LSI’s Services for People with Disabilities, we empower Iowans with disabilities to thrive and have a voice in their communities.

Our daily services for adults ages 18 and older help people transition to living on their own with up to 24 hours of support.

We work one-on-one with youth and adults to help them pursue meaningful, purposeful lives through achieving their personal goals.

We offer respite care for children and adults with disabilities to provide caregivers with a well-deserved break.

This shared living opportunity allows an individual to move into a private family home and take a critical step toward greater independence.

From reading comic books and making costumes for Renaissance festivals, to going out on walks and taking care of his home, Alecks does it all. And his Daily Supported Community Living team is there every step of the way, encouraging him to check off the items on his to-do list.
